Benefits of NCC


There are many uses of C certificate. They can be used for applying for NCC Quota in different higher educational options and employment Sectors


1. Soldier GD Category-

In this category bonus marks are based on total marks secured in physical and written examination. *NCC 'A' Certificate-5% NCC 'B' Certificate-8% NCC 'C' Certificate-10%

2. Soldier Tech/Clk/SKT/Nursing.Asstt: 

Bonus marks will be based on total marks obtained in written examination. *NCC 'A' Certificate-5% NCC 'B' Certificate-8% NCC 'C' Certificate-10%

  *Navy:

 Under mentioned marks are added for recruitment in Navy Direct entry Sailor and Artificer Apprentices 
 Certificate Sailor Artificer Apprentices Certificate 'A' 02 marks 05 marks Certificate 'B' 04 marks 10 marks Certificate 'C' 06 marks 15 marks

*Air Force:

 Under mentioned marks are added to selection test marks of certificate holders: NCC 'A' Certificate-3 marks NCC 'B' Certificate-4 marks NCC 'C' Certificate-5 marks

*Military Nursing Service: 

 One seat is reserved for (Nursing) Course and 24 Probationer Nursing Course for NCC trained girls, possessing G-2 Certificate in order of merit. Many incentives provided by the NCC cadets by Para Military Forces are as follows:-
 BSF (Border Security Force)
 NCC 'A' Certificate-4 marks
 NCC 'B' Certificate-6 marks
 NCC 'C' Certificate-10 marks

CISF (Central Industrial Security Force): Preferential marks to NCC certificate holders for recruitment in CISF

 NCC 'B' Certificate-1 mark
 NCC 'C' Certificate-3 marks

Coast Guard:

Weightage of 15 marks to NCC 'C' Certificate holders for recruitment in officer cadre or ranks depending on education qualification.

ITBP (Indo Tibetan Border Police): 

Preference to NCC 'C' Certificate holders for recruitment in officer cadre of ranks, depending on educational qualification. commission of cadets in Armed Forces as officers

Possession of NCC C certificate accounts for the following benefits :-

  1. With Army wing certificate, you are entitled 20–25 reserved vacancies each course of IMA irrespective of your position in merit list. Similar for AFA and INA too.
  2. Under NCC Special Entry, you will not be required to write CDS exam and will directly be called for the SSB for all three forces depending upon the wing of NCC you were trained in i.e. Army Navy or Airforce wing.
  3. Written exam for Soldier GD is waived off and bonus marks for Soldier Technical.
  4. 10–15 bonus marks in paramilitary forces recruitment i.e. BSF, CISF, CRPF, SSB etc.
  5. Bonus marks in state police recruitments.
  6. Reserved vacancies in private sector industries such as in Reliance Industries for the post of Security Officer.
  7. Preference in CAPF and CPO interviews.
  8. When mentioned in your resume, it will hint about your personality. And finally last but the most important, You are adequately trained to protect your country in case of any disaster, mishap or whenever your country needs you.
